Witaszkowo
Witaszkowo is a rather insignificant village in Western Poland. In 1882, however, when Witaszkowo was still called Vettersfelde and part of Germany, a local farmer found an incredible treasure which included the pendant of a necklace, a massive neckband, the sheath of a sword, and a huge fish - all made of pure gold!
The finds turned out to be almost 2500 year-old parts of a Scythian warrior's armour. But how did his belongings get here - more than 2000 km away from his home in the steppes of what is today Southern Russia?
